What happens if I cannot attend a lesson?

In some months there are five instead of four lessons. There is no extra cost for the fifth lesson. This lesson will be scheduled as a make up lesson. All make up lessons are 30 minutes in length. Students may schedule up to one hour (two absences) of make up lessons on the fifth lesson. Only two lessons can be made up. There is no refund for any classes missed over two.

How much piano practice is required?

Students are expected to practice five days a week. Young students will be given a weekly practice log to complete. The log will be returned to the instructor at the next lesson. Students who do not practice and complete logs may be dismissed from lessons.

Must I have a piano in my home to take lessons?

A piano and/or keyboard is required in the home of the student. Traveling to other locations to practice can become an issue after a relative short period of time. Since students are asked to practice five days a week, an in-house piano or keyboard is needed to be successful.

Who may attend the lesson besides the piano student?

Due to the size of the teaching studio, only one parent may attend a lesson. No siblings or friends of the student may attend lessons.

Are there any other costs besides monthly lesson fees?

Students will need to purchase lesson books from Amazon. This is a minimal fee and will only reoccur ever 6 months or so.

Will students have a "full" lesson if they come late?

Because the instructor must adhere to a schedule of students, any student who arrives late will only receive the remaining time left in the scheduled lesson.

May we bring food or drinks to the studio?

Due to the cost of musical instruments and furnishings, no food or drink are allowed in the studio.
